Bring Back Our Teachers! / ¡Traigan de Vuelta a Nuestros Maestros! / Community Meeting for CPS Parents

**** Español Abajo ****

Last week at Volta Elementary, CPS "locked out" 8 teachers and staff... which led to hundreds of Volta students locked out from their PreK, music, and gym teachers. CPS took this punitive action even when 100% of students in a class chose to continue remote learning. When CPS cancels class or puts in a substitute, who does that serve?

Come join us Thursday at 6pm to learn more about what the CPS Reopening Plan looks like in our neighborhood schools. What has happened so far? What is "simultaneous instruction" and who benefits from that? What would a typical school day look like? What happens if and when your child's teacher is locked out? How can we unite as a community for a safe and equitable education system?

Event hosted by 39th Ward Neighbors United & parents and teachers at Volta, Palmer, and Peterson Elementary Schools.

Zoom registration link coming soon.
