Candidate Forum Sponsoring Organizations
33rd Ward Working Families
Our mission is to build a political movement for the needs of working families in the 33rd Ward (Albany Park, Avondale, Irving Park, and Ravenswood Manor). We build political power through advocacy and education, and by developing and running home-grown candidates for public office.
39th Ward Neighbors United
Our mission is to build an independent political organization in the 39th ward that fights for racial, social and economic justice. Through advocacy, direct action, and education, we advance progressive legislation and support grassroots movements that improve the lives of the people in our community, while understanding our connection to all residents in the city of Chicago.
United Northwest Side
We are an independent political organization of Northwest Side Chicago residents who believe our community deserves politics that work for working people. We bring our neighbors together to build political power, strengthen our public institutions, and to fight for the common good and material improvements in people’s lives on the Northwest Side and across the city. We’re committed to advocating for everyone’s fair share of opportunity, dignity and economic stability.
The People’s Lobby
The People’s Lobby is a membership-driven organization of people across the Chicago region that work together to build widespread support for public policies and candidates – including people from our communities – that put racial and gender justice and the needs of people and the planet before the interests of big corporations and the very rich.
We train leaders to build bases in our communities, organize support for progressive legislation, endorse candidates and take direct action to pressure elected officials and other powerful people to put the interests of people and the planet first.
